Update...
Purchased some DBA Slotted rotors 290mm P/N (DBA017SL, DBA017SR) Left and right Fronts
New Split Pins, Bearings and seal, fresh Grease.
Acid Dipped the calipers at work and resprayed them Red, New Seals, and rubbers treated with rubber grease, Re-greased(Graphite Grease) the slide pins, so Callipers have had a full rebuild.
Then running some Bendix General CT Stealth Pads, Should have alot better braking performance and control,
(Left Rotors in Bag in pic till i pull them out and clean the factory oil of them and install.
Cheers
Nath

Vl Commodore Rear Drums to Disks Conversion

Ok a little update,
Just done the Drum Rear Conversion to Disk Rear on the L Quite a straight easy process if u have access to a press for the Bearings and collars to be pressed on the axles your laughin'

Start
All parts are from a VN Commodore. Callipers, Rotors, Backing Plates(hand brake cable is not compatible) New Bearings+Collars
Drums On, Car Jacked Up
Photo049.jpg

Drums Off, Bolts Retaining Axles Out, Rip axles out. Remove Handbrake Cable as this one dont work with disk rears. Need a Disk rear Handbrake Cable.
Axles Out
Collars and Bearings Removed
Photo052.jpg

New Collars and Bearing Pressed on + Thicker seal(Disk Rear Seals)
Photo055.jpg

Bolt Backing Plates on, Slide in Axles Bolt in and put on Disk Rotor

Photo057.jpg

Calliper Bolted on Re'route Brake lines and attach Flex Hoses., Bleed Brakes, Then Attach Handbrake Cable(Disk rear One)
Photo058.jpg

Wheels on, Best to dump Diff oil and new gasket on rear cover and top up Diff oil.

Off ya go

Kept the Master Cylinder which is 15/16 and pedal feel is unbelievable compared to drum rears, Dont see the need to upgrade it to a 1" master cylinder, the Vn's used the 15/16 as well,
Im guessing the 1" is even better stopping power, and may as well go the booster as well as this is double diaphram. But im not........YET
Cheers

nope i didnt, does it matter?
the master is a 15/16 same as the Vn one(Does the vn one have the valve removed?). when i let off on the brakes the rear callipers unclamp like the fronts they dont stay clamped down(Is there more pressure kept up the lines?).
