"Project VEE EL"
well its wes enbeverably going to happen and i had haved it in mined for some time now,

in the recent weeks i have been looking for a daily so that i am able to take the berlina of the road, i had a white vl calais possibly lined up but a hick-up accoured and i wasnt able to by it of the people as the missues didnt want to let it go.
a work collegee offered me a white vl exec a few weeks back for 900 bucks nothing wrong with it except a leaking exhaust manifold (easy fix).
today he said i can have it for 600, i reckon im going to take his offer up as its very clean just needs the manifold fixed. so going for a little drive saturday or sunday just to check it over. so i have a daily now:w00t:

my perants have said im alowed to use the car port to do my work in and get the car done. so with that i am happy as, that was a big thing possibly stopping me but with the ok cleared im stoked now.

going to keep the car a berlina look, dark lights on the rear with the factory front nose cone, dont get me wrong i love the calais front but its just to expensive and i dont like it when there poped up.
so im staying stock with the nose cone.

the list goes as follows,
  • cut all rust out (front and rear windows as well as boot rubber lip)
  • respray complete car except engine bay ( that will get done when i take the engine out further down the track for the swap)
  • fitting and rebuild of a disc rear end (with slotted disc possibly drilled to)
  • fitting of my vt front brakes (with slotted disc possibly drilled to)
  • tint windows
  • little things aswell, like chrome handles and litle bits here and there
then it will be saving for the engine and trans conversion.

colour i am looking at is impulse blue (single tone not over silver) with a perl in it of either vilot or blue

the last crusie will be the Peter Brock crusie in the berlina then it will be retired off the road for a little while. i will be snapping up some pics before i start so i can compair it once its done while also getting pics as im working on it.
i will try and keep updating this page atleast once week as most night after work ill be straight at the car working on it till i sleep.

anyone opinions, questions or ideas, dont be scared to share. im all ears (well eyes:p )

Sean.

well lets see.

after abit of events stopping me from picking up the daily its all set for sunday so that good, i think im going to pass on my dads offer of using his vs as a daliy as im affraid that when im done the vl i wont like it as it will be down grading from a vs to vl.

took the berlina on its last official crusie with JC and it was bloody great one. so might head out saturday night and then sunday could be time to put her away.

ive had some other little things pop up like hard choices,
thinking of respraying it white with grey bars like a mate said, i laughted when he said it but now after looking at my car in my pics i reckon it would look really clean and nice, ofcourse ill give it a little twist and make it a three layer perl in either blue or vilot.
and the other choice is to turbo or not and go v8, im thinking about the turbo route really hard now and in the run it would be cheaper and nice, illl just be heading stock set up but as normal it will proberly get a bit out of hand:p
ive already got the gear box for a turbo vl and my motor is a series two so all i need is the parts and i should be set,
cost will defently be cheaper compaired to the v8 conversion when you look at suspension/k frame, engine, gearbox, and then wiring it up.

so im going to be pricing it up alot more now on the turbo side to get the giz of what im heading at.

heres some picks from the crusie on sunday of my car,
first one by daron.
second by Dose Pipe (Luke)
and last pic is of my phone,

not long now just got to get the exec upto standerd and some more rego and its time for the berlina to park up, its rego runs out ont eh 18th of march so really its the set date.
well sunday picked up the exective and im quite happy for 600 bucks,

took the exhaust manifold off yesterday and in the process 5 studs snapped, owell it was going to happen no matter what you do.
friday got a thread person comming to tapp them out and rethread, so thats a extra $130 - $140 then have to buy some new studs $30ish. then wheel alignment
so ruffly $950 for the daily to be legal and registered.

so this weekend it should be all running, just got to chuck my spare 14s i have on. 18's are going to be stored to collect the dust.
fit the r/h taillight he gave me as its currntly broken and also fit my old r/h front indercator as its smashed and its all sweet.

this vl is planed to stay stock as a rock, nothing done but just chuck my cd player in it, as he took his out. sheep skin seat covers are staying on and so is the old school rear seat cover.

heres some pics of the vls
