VK black to BW 4 speed flywheel?

Hi all, Yes I have searched forums and Dr.Google. Just need a picture or description of the flywheel needed to fit a Borg Warner 4 speed manual conversion to a black VK 202. Trouble is not sure what I am looking at even if someone says yeh that will fit? Did see a FB post that said you can...

    VK rear drums wow

fair enough but the upper tension spring clips are clipped from behind the shoe. Hard to let it go or remove it let alone get back in place. I have a brake spring plier tool but more suited to putting springs in that clip from the front. Will give it another go trying your explanation. Cheers

    VK rear drums wow

Hi all, It appears that even in the workshop manual that to do any brake work that the rear axle has to come out so you can access c pins and springs etc. Great idea GM. Is this right? Makes sense as I was changing the cylinder and managed that without taking the backing plate off but the...

    Stumbling on hills VYII

A bit like 10 year Mercs, Get a few K's (if you reckon 250K is big for an auto) and they turn into unfixable paperweights that even a $5k computer cant figure out. My day had a HT ex cab that had 1 million miles on it and was just a bit hard to start in the mornings.

    Stumbling on hills VYII

Well after getting my auto electrician with 40 years experience to run his new expensive blue tooth scanner on the car.... "No fault codes detected". He ran diagnostics on every system on the car and no faults came up. No leaks, all sensors showed AOK. Had the system monitoring as he stabbed...

    Stumbling on hills VYII

I am a carby man so diagnostic tools are not something I am familiar with. Happy to enter the dark side and buy a scan tool. Having done a look around at diagnostic tools they range in price for a Kinchrome general at $70 and then keep going up into the hundreds and then thousands Eg SnapOn...

    Stumbling on hills VYII

Took of plenum and cleaned ... no that bad but car has 260K on it. Cleaned Air flow unit with right spray for Airmassflows. Cleaned all associated sensors and electrical terminals. Still misfires under load. Will replace fuel filter next. Running out of ideas.

    Stumbling on hills VYII

Hi all, had this issue of it running like a pig going hills and under occasional take offs from lights. You can feel it missing under load. I have renewed plugs and leads. Still the same. Swapped out all coil packs off another running VS, still the same. I have put a new genuine CAS in and...

    VK 202 black head question

A threaded hole at end of the head intake side of head, what is it for? not at the very end but a the side of the block towards firewall but facing inner guard. Glycol leaks out of it when filling the rad. Is it a drain for the block and if so what does it look like? Not sure, can it just be...

Stock VK 202 Black Trimatic reference points

Anybody near Brissy with a stock black 202 trimatic? (or pretty stock), Mine has been so long in bits and now coming back together that I need a reference look at one. The manual is poor and so is the visual info on Goggle. Basically need to have a look at engine bay and vacuum lines, cooler...

    Plugging smog ports VK Black

Living on the edge..dedesmogging the VK Black OK, so all the fail rwc stuff aside, I am going to not install this set up. The charcoal can is stuffed every pipe is cracked , all tees are brittle, the bracket alone weight 5kg and who knows what the air pump does. So is there anyone who has...

    Plugging smog ports VK Black

Smog removal. I have been told by a few mechanics that its not a problem. To get a defect on a 85 VK you would need to be doing something silly and then be unlucky to find someone who knew what they were looking at. The mechanics reckon that the cannister and smog set up was a really poor...
