Try the A/C when you switch it on it should trigger the fan relay. If it does its a problem on the engine side. Might be a problem with the MEMCAL if you've got a spare try that too.

looking for help... Just tried to strip a VR steering rack and ran into a prob with the rack piston on the rack shaft. There's some sort of hardened pin locking the piston to the shaft. Tried to get it out but stopped before i did to much damage. :eek: Any ideas will be gratefully accepted.

Hey Dr B Follow up for you on the VR ECM to EFILive it seems there is a voltage problem that is fixed by inserting 2 x 10K resistors from the 5V supply to the data link... There's a post on the street commodores forum from ttvn that gives all the info.. Never know someone might come by with...

EFILIve VR UTE For anyone that knows EFILive4..... I've got a 16 pin ALDL that reads a VY wagon on the EVAL version. Had a VN sedan with a 160 cable read no worries.. Now have a VR Ute.. My problem is EFILive reads the 232 chip but doesn't detect chatter or read the ALDL stream... Tried...

got a question.... when reading the eprom off a vn does tunerpro decode the read file or do you have to translate the s19 into binery??? gotten stuck :(

done some research figured out most of my probs regarding software.. it would appear that the chip reader i read the bin with was not reliable.. cant find any info on which pins need to be in the socket... any info/direction would be much appreciated
