Yes that holds that part of the harness but there is also a harness that runs over the rocker cover that's inside this plastic casing, this casing is somehow attached to the rocker cover. I took a photo and marked it, that's the piece I'm trying to remove

Hey, so I'm trying to remove the drivers side rocker cover on my alloytec VZ Calais, how do you remove the square shaped casing that's around the wiring loom that's running along the bottom/outside edge of the rocker cover? It's covering 2 of the bolts I need to remove the rocker cover...

Ok after another go at it last night, its fixed. I pulled out everything that might have been rubbing on the glass around the back of the door, still noisy, put it all back then lubed the rear door guide again but put more on the part of the guide closest to the inside of the car, thats where...

Yes the door trim has been removed (it's been off for the last week or so) and I've been looking and lubing everywhere I can possibly find. Another thing I've noticed is if I push on the glass towards the outside of the door while it's going up or down the noise doesn't happen.

I should have mentioned all the plastic sliders on the mech are fine and plenty lubed. Also the sound is coming from the back of the door near the locking mechanism. All the felt I can find feels ok and I've silicone sprayed it all. Thanks for thingo so far.

Hey, I have a VZ Calais and it's front passenger side window makes some weird noises. It works perfectly all the way up and down, but when it gets 3/4 of the way down it makes this horrible metallic sort of scraping noise which goes away before it gets to the bottom. When you move it back up...

I connected the 6 pin plug up to the 6 connections around the steering column. There was a seperate wire on its own which I haven't connected anywhere, the guides I used didn't mention it. Are you saying that separate wire needs to be connected also? Yes I have the auto sensing lights but...

Yeah thats the thing, I'm not sure where to wire this illumition wire to properly.. I've tried a couple of places now but neither work but seem to work for others that have used the same guides as me. Thanks for the info, i'll keep looking!

Hi all, a couple of years ago I installed the tripe HSV binnacle guage pod in my ute (2008 VE SSV). The install went fine, all gauges work perfect. The issue I've had since then is the backlight for the guages, it doesn't quite match the dash guages backlight. Basically the binnacles...
