Had my VX SS from new, only done 94,000 km, out in it today and noticed the indicators not flashing, all globes work but not flashing, I assume probably the canister thingo, only thing not sure where it is or if it even has one or some other arrangement? Obviously others would have changed them...

I use BP Ultimate 98 in my VX SS, had it from new and never had any issues with it. The BP servo is also the closest to where I live. Stock standard car, it would run on 91 but have always used the 98.

I tend to think you are right in the key some how got out of sync and putting it in the ignition and starting the car re-syncd it.

Thanks mate, appreciate your response, as a matter of interest what happens with say a spare key that might be hung up and not used for months would that get out of syn when you went to use it, just trying to get my head around how all this works.

I think you may be right with that as the key that was not working yesterday has been operating fine all day, maybe I have been using the other key all the time as they are both on my key ring, I carry both as the keys are pretty old and carry both as a back up, looks like the key I was not...

I worked permanent afternoon/night shift for 30 odd years, 5pm start but depending on work load could still be there 8 am the next morning. Retired many years ago and the body clock is still giving trouble, come midnight I am as bright as a button and can't get to sleep until 2 to 3 am.
