Hey team. Have a question regarding the wonderful Toyota 2uz-fe. my cruiser has developed a oil leak, appears to be comming from the front of the motor somewhere i suspect the cam shaft oil seal. Question i have is roughly how much would you expect to pay for a repair to have both seals...

spoke to the owner about it on Sunday, he wants to fix it up as it's his little brothers car who lost his life in a tragic accident. so i will invest some time and help out with the re-build, will be a slow slog but will get there eventually.

it needs to see the inside of a wrecking yard. Fired it up and talk about issues. it's over heating, has no brakes, alternator isn't charging, spewing oil out of the passengers side valve cover, and the power steering rack is complaining all the time. The guy who owns this car is coming over...

This guy knows his ****. removed number 1, felt the compression stroke, sure was a strange feeling having the suck blow thing happening. found the compression stroke, removed the dissy cap, and bingo, out by 180'. so now number 1 is where number 4 should be and like wise everything else. and...

if it is out 180 is it a simple case of moving the leads to suite the new number 1 position?

way back last week we did the tcd check, didnt do the finger on the plug hole trick, but we did line up the mark on ballancer and did see that the dissy was pointing to where it was ment to be. so kinda assumed it was in the right position. The thing that sucks is there is no marks on the dissy...

i dont think the lines are backwards. would be pretty epic if they are. fuel goes into the passanger side fuel rail first, then flows out at the pressure regulator, one hose is long, other is short before they hit the steel pipes.

You know I'm actually not sure. I haven't looked at the rear of the beast. I'm tied up with work stuff for the next few days. I'll check this out on Saturday.

im starting to lean towards pump myself, im just looking around at the moment to find somewhere that hires out pressure testers so i can test the fuel pressure, when the car turns on (reds come on) you can hear hte pump, it's rather quiet. when you remove the fuel line before the regulator on...

when u say vacumm line. Is it on the drivers side at the rear of the fuel rail? And if so where does it vanish to.

Some one has lent on the top of the body where cruise and throttle cables meet now it wont close to normal position. Cause spring is shagged

All are as its ment to be. Still not firing. Could a busted throttle body have anythibg to do with it perhaps? Now clutching at straws.
