It's actually not that bad. Gets loud when you get on it, but idling at 800rpm is pretty tame. The fb link above is the vp on the dyno. You can hear it there. I'll be putting it up for sale in the near future. I bought a vy berlina wagon ls1 4l60e.

I had a buddy fix my Calais power window module by resoldering some of the points. The non lead solder cracks over time.

Make sure the vac tubes behind the vent knobs havent come loose. Theres also a ball under the passenger side front bumper that stores vacuum. And the firewall vac hose has been mentioned, check there too.

Wheres the ecu and did it get wet? Could also be bad earth somewhere. Check all fuses and relays?

Did you sort it? Another thing to note is vn vp v6's get dfi earth through the engine bracket its bolted to. Take the dfi/coil pack assembly off the bracket and check for corrosion under it. Clean back to bare metal and maybe wipe with wd40. you can also crack the bracket bolts and re-tighten...

abs plastic is the kind that melts when you put solvents to it. it may have had old paint on it already that reacted. or you may have just put the paint on too wet and softened the plastic under the paint. then when all the solvents crept out it split open. sand it all back to bare plastic and...
