Still no cam in it yet. When i do eventually put a cam it in I'll get other parts of the motor refreshed too since I couldn't do a full clean/refresh when the oil pump went.

Have you replaced the cam sensor at all recently? I had a weird starting issue that ended up being a faulty aftermarket cam sensor that caused issues on initial start but then fired up on 2nd start. Replaced it with a genuine GM sensor and that fixed it.

It's a issue with the BCM and the auto down function on it. I'm not sure on how to fix it other then having to replace the BCM. I ended up just dealing with having to hold the button down for a bit longer to have it manually go down as I replaced the BCM and within 6 months it happened again
