    I'd remove switch and see if power is going to it, if there is power then definitely the switch is faulty.

    VS Commodore starting (over-cranking)

    A faulty Fuel Pressure Regulator can cause excessive cranking. Common problem on VR-VS's. Located at the end of the Fuel Rail. Easy to replace. If it's a slow crank then it could be the Battery,

    Remember to refit all return lines. When you remove the hose, the hose can fall back into the tank, make sure to refit it. If you don't refit the return line your motor will struggle to accelerate after you do Right Hand Turns when you have low fuel.
