Sorry, delay :p Settled out of court and paid him a whole $0. I could have pursued him for repair costs but decided to not push it. The car unfortunately has had a few dramas since, but we've managed to work out the issues and with any luck she will make it to Motorvation 2016.

I'm surprised too! They had it for 18 weeks, I have lots of strong legal legs to stand on. Can also take them for other costs like rego, insurance and running costs of the car I was borrowing while it was being repaired (but I'm not, yet anyhow)
