    Electrical gremlins

Took the battery to Supercheap to return as it is under warranty. Their tester says that the battery is fine. Mine says it needs to be replaced. The indicator on the battery says "recharge" although the battery is at 12.7v 93% Im confused. Maybe my tester (brand new, SP Tools) is faulty...

    Electrical gremlins

Tested the charge system with the airbag system disconnected: Loaded 14.42v Unloaded 14.27v Ripple 18mV Result: Pass No difference in the results with the airbags connected. The airbag controller runs a Bluetooth connection that is always on, so obviously draws some current but negligible...

    Electrical gremlins

Long post warning... So I checked the battery (Century Ultra High Performance Din65lhx-Mf, New 11/23), was at 12.5v. Tested battery, and it reports condition bad - replace (health below 10%). Starts and runs fine, no problems at all but I obviously need to replace the battery. I haven't run...

    Electrical gremlins

Electrical wizards, a bit of help? 2011 VE SS Series 2 Sedan. Last weekend my cruise control stopped working while I was driving and would not restart. When this happened, I noticed that my airbag control also restarted - this is wired to the accessories circuit, as far as I know (I will check...

Coolant leak - Head Gaskets or Overflow leak?

So I have a coolant leak that I'm trying to get to the bottom of. A while ago the overflow outlet nozzle on the radiator neck snapped, and I puttied it up as a temporary fix until I could afford a PWR radiator (I prefer to fix things with stronger solutions). Everything has been OK until...

    Thermo Fan difference

Sounds like you have a S1 if the top tabs don't bolt on. I need S2 sorry

    Thermo Fan difference

Could be. Is it full alloy? Does it have fan mounts, and what is the distance between the trans cooler ports?

    Thermo Fan difference

It's not a performance problem, it's that the stock inflow neck is known to break, as is the overflow outlet (which is what happened to mine). I prefer to replace things like that with stronger alternatives to avoid replacing it again in the future.

    Thermo Fan difference

I *thought* I had researched enough, and verified on the website (Automotive Superstore) that it was compatible with my car. The website lists a VIN that matches mine too, but makes no mention that the fan mounts are missing/options. Anyway, I have it now so I'd rather get it adapted to work...

    Thermo Fan difference

It's definitely the radiator that I ordered, but on closer inspection it looks like it simply doesn't have fan mounts. I've found that there are 2 different radiators for the VE SS, with the main difference being the distance between the trans cooler ports. The radiator I bought is different...

    Thermo Fan difference

Hi fellas I recently broke the overflow outlet on my radiator so thought I would take the opportunity to upgrade the radiator. I ordered a Jayrad JR1074HP from Automotive Superstore, which is advertised as being compatible with my car (MY12 VE SS Auto). On starting the swap over this...

    Semi-auto N2O

Yeah I think it could be done with haltech but I was thinking of just the stock ecu. Which probably explains why I couldn't find any threads about it anywhere

Ah, so much for my million dollar idea lol

    Semi-auto N2O

Hey guys, I'm wondering whether it would be possible to create a "semi auto" nitrous system in a VE? The thought that came to mind is: * Install giggle gas as normal, with a master on/off switch and WOT window switch. * Using "spare" relay socket in fusebox, program the relay to close only...
