VT 304 stalls when going into gear

Cool I’ll try that. It also seems to be lacking in power now. ie can’t do a burnout. I also have a theory it has an exhaust gasket leak. Hasn’t run in three years.

VT 304 stalls when going into gear

Thanks for replies. All stock no mods. It’s an auto. I did a tech2 IAC reset and it seemed to work until I stopped the car and re started it.

    Re wire both thermo fans

Hey legends I have a VT 304 in a custom application with standard computer. I want both thermo fans to come on at the same time as the Low fan. Im up far North Queensland where it’s effing hot! Is it programmable with a Tech2? If I rewrite the other relay Will there be an issue with the bcm...

    IAC hissing

My other 304 here has a new IAC and TPS on it. So it whacked that on and seams to have stopped. https://photos.app.goo.gl/GBvK5ASR2dQqjVrv8 That’s the thermo fan you can hear now and not the IAC. Although every minute or so the engine makes a rattle. Wondering if there’s enough oil in it...

Yeah I think I’ll go with that. Even lengthening it slightly didn’t really change it and this is warmed up. https://photos.app.goo.gl/yR76HYbyoYadaCHJ9

    IAC hissing

Thanks EYY. Closest I can come up with is this. BUT I am using a spare MAF as a joiner in the middle and the air con compressor is right below it and lines need to go to the fire wall. Makes that cruise control wire awkward too. https://photos.app.goo.gl/mJyGrhFEdbN2iPRr5 Or maybe even mounted...

    IAC hissing

Wouldn't it be 1.5x the diameter of the TB and = 4.5" long?? That'd make a lot more sense or you'd need one of those 4wd pipe running up the A pillar;) Although you may be right. Found this on another forum. Here is what the GM crate engine control system instructions have to say about it...

And the pipe gets longer.... You mean the direction (as per the flow arrows) or it has to be up a certain way aswell?

    IAC hissing

Godammit... Why aren't cars easier! Think I'll jam it through the bay wall to the wheel well then, At least I'll have cold air induction then. Just have to work out how to avoid getting water in it o_O

I assume I can't get a MAFless tune VATS removed chip off the shelf either :(

    IAC hissing

You mean this one???? https://forums.justcommodores.com.au/threads/nes138-room-for-improvement.225896/page-3 Or do you have time to go over 40 pages of stuff?? http://forum.fefcholden.club/index.php?topic=21578.760 Haven't updated in quite some time and haven't done much as I am moving round...
