    Windscreen wipers.

I clay bar the windscreen and replace blades (Costco/Michelin) each year before our mid-year road trip.

    How thick is this?

Indeed. Once upon a time I would have just gone ahead and replaced the aluminium bar with a piece of 3 x 2 and nailed the bracket to it. Times change... Anyhoo, to answer a few other q's that have popped up in the thread, my original plan (6 years ago) was to mount a lightbar behind the...

    How thick is this?

There's a big crash repair establishment not far from me. I'll run it past them in the morning.

    How thick is this?

Great! Thanks so much for taking the time to contribute. Plan 'B' was looking like rope, glue and plywood with a measure of asbestos thrown in to make it really dodgy. I'll tell 'A' to get their coat. Cheers...

    How thick is this?

Perfect! Thanks for reply. I had a feeling it wasn't just a matter of drilling a couple of holes. I didn't know about the washer bottle but was concerned about structural integrity. I'll look for a 'Plan B' Cheers

    How thick is this?

Anyone know how thick this support/brace/whatever is? I want to insert a nutsert for a driving light brace.

    Best headlight globes for Calais?

Spot on. I was a bit concerned when I swapped over to LEDs so chalked the original cutoff on the garage roller door. LEDs were exactly the same cut off. I'm considering raising them 2 feet. I don't want to be the only one out there not blinding anyone.

    VF Random chat thread

Thought I'd mention that a truly wonderful human being has posted a VF relevant adv in the "Parts and Other Items For Sale" forum. He thought he'd do it here before dealing with idiots on marketplace. Gone to a new home with a very handsome and charming forum member.

    Climate control differences

This may have nothing to do with anything Holden related but it might help someone. Some years ago, on a trip back from Mount Isa, my G6E started blowing very hot air through drivers foot vents (had to put shoes and socks on) but normal temp through passengers vent. Car was in warranty so when...

Auto Dimming Mirror - VF2 Installation

Sorry mate, I can barely remember doing the job. A lot of water under the bridge since then :) I'll have a look tomorrow and see if the connector is in my auto-electrical collection (read box on the shelf) but I'm fairly sure I would have binned it, edit: no luck mate, All manner of strange...

    Remote start distance to car

I park as far away from other vehicles as I can and I figure the walk won't do me any harm so at our local Bunnings I can remote start an easy 50m from inside Bunnings. Always nice to come out and see that my car has a friend. Prob looked lonely way out there by itself

VF Series 2 Redline Holden service damage

Had mine serviced recently. I always do a walk around before going in to pay. The other day the service guy invited me out for a walk around with him. Perhaps that's what they now do at that dealer. Perhaps I'll find what they actually damaged when I next wash it

    SV6 Spoken speed alert

Hey OP, are you a Humber guy? My Dad had a Series 4?? (1963) Super Snipe followed by a Series 5?? (1967) Wonderful cars. I've looked on carsales from time to time but not many come up (and I really, really, don't ned another car). Maybe in retirement I'll hunt one down.
