TCI - Constant Pressure Valve Body

Thanks, I've had the box rebuilt and strenghtened with Transgo but can't get it shifting properly under WOT. I 'm going to try the TCI Constant Pressure Valve body and see what happens. Fingers crossed I dont regret not going full manual valve body or a T400

TCI - Constant Pressure Valve Body

I have a VH with a 304 from a VR. I'm running an Edlebrock Air-Gap and 650Dp Brawler carby all mated to a built T700 gear box from a VN. I'm having trouble setting the TV cable and the box slips when the foot it 3/4 or more of the way down on the accelerator pedal. I've read that this is a...

BTW - The Holley blue is so loud though. sounds like a hammer drill.

    Electric fuel pump

So the update is the Carter pump crapped out after just a few months of use. It must of been faulty from the beginning because I've since installed a Holley Blue and the guage is showing 12psi without a regulator right off the bat. It installed the reg and turned it down to about 8psi and...

    Electric fuel pump

Ok, so I think the issue is the guage I'm using. When I turn the ignition on and prime the pump the guage reads 6.5psi it also stays at 6.5psi while idling. As the car warms up it drops to about 4psi. I went for a long drive on the weekend and was hot when I go home I checked the guage before...

    Electric fuel pump

I have just installed a carby convereted 304 engine in my SLE. It has an Edelbrock AirGap manifold, Pacemaker headers and 650 DP. As part of the set up I've installed a Cater fuel pump. It's the 4600 model which is rated at 8-9psi. I had installed the pump originally too high compared to the...

Need tips for fitting 19s to a VH

I've got 19x8 on the front and 19x9.5 on the rear with 245 rubber. I didn't have to make any mods on the front and had the rear guards rolled to tuck the wheel in better.

    VH Tag id

I think the Trip computer was an option in the earlier models. My SLE has no trip computer but has all the other options ticked.

    [253] Hesitation when accelerating

I'm sure there's an easy explanation but I'm no mechanic especially when it comes to carby engines. The VH has developed a slight hesitation when accelerating either from a stand still or when taking your foot off the gas and then applying it again. The car hesitates only when I (re)apply the...

304 Benefits of VS Stroker cleared block

The car has a 3.9 LSD rear end. I'm looking at a Transmission rebuild too with Corvette servos and stage 2 shift kit along with a 3-3500rpm stall converter, depending in the cam.

304 Benefits of VS Stroker cleared block

Cheers guys. Engine is home. 20 mins after I unloaded the engine and placed it on the ground my 2 year old dropped a washer into the engine where the distributor goes! With my last build (VH with 304 EFI conversion) I kept the original VH K Frame. From it was a tight fit with the EFI gear...

304 Benefits of VS Stroker cleared block

The VS block is being picked up this weekend. It's unopened and has original bore. gtrboyy, you still have your VH?

304 Benefits of VS Stroker cleared block

I have an SLE 253 and am going to throw in a VS 304 engine with VN T700 box. I know this is nothing new and people will say go LS but that's not what I'm after. The SLE is a one owner original 98000kms car and I intend on keeping it look as original as possible (Apart from the original Simmons...
