Yeah it was his recommendation of 10w40. He called it super slow oil. Temp reading is from the systems menu. It has never reached over just a smidge above half on the needle. 100° isn't that excessive if you think about combustion is at around 4-500°
She's a cammed LS1 with otr and headers. Ground crank, polished heads. Not sure on what cam but she is lumpy. Used to her getting hot fast. I've had her about 4 years.
So just had the car running. Still waiting on a scanner but I have noticed it happens at 110° Gonna stick some concentrate coolant in and see how that goes. In my opinion the colour could be a little darker
She gets up pretty quick. Only 5 minutes driving and she's about 80-90. But yeah 104 in my driveway and lights. Could that be an issue. Needle never goes above half. I think I need to add more coolant to my mix. She does run quite warm but never overheating
So confused. Just ran the car down the shops and back. Up to 104° and nothing. No warnings. None at idle. None on hill. None driving. Really can't wait to get a reading on this oil pressure
Yeah waiting on a mate to drop by with an OBD2. I will let you know how I go.
I was just looking and it's probably a long shot, but could a faulty battery cause a faulty reading
****. That looks difficult. But still better than full removal. Either way I reckon that guy should replace his sump anyway. Looked cracked in several places
