    Brembo 6P/4P upgrade 2016 SSV

The 5th Gen Camaro 6-pot monoblock Brembos fit under stock SSV-R 19’s. I bought 20” for a new look.

ECU tuning - is it technically legal

A lot of tuners have their own 5-Gas analysers.

What other cars did you consider when buying?

In 2016, I had $85K all up to spend. I looked at new and very, near new cars; BMW M2 (2016) and M3 (2014) - quite laggy from the go. Porsche Boxster 981 (2015-) - I'm too tall. Audi RS3 (2016-) - My second choice. 2016 HSV Clubsport 340 - I honestly don't like the look of the rear. I...

    Tune Update - W375

Impressive results for a W375. A cam on that would be near 340kw and 750NM, nice!

Because even wreckers know they are on a good thing and charge you a mint for second-hand units. Upwards of $4k. Also, some of them need refinishing, anyway. I like mine, brand new, barely different, genuine Italian made Brembo....come with the Brembo name on the front.

I paid a premium ordering from Australia (Empire Performance) but others have bought through eBay and saved a lot of money. Mine were $1799 for fronts only, but they are red colour refinished. In the US, they only come in Silver, Black and Yellow.

Just buy fronts from OS, you can get 6-P Brembos from a Cadillac CTS-V, direct fit and then buy really good two-piece DBA 5000 Series T3 club spec slotted rotors here. Add braided lines and just buy rear Brembos from a wrecker. You will have almost HSV-style brakes for less than $3k

How to determine brake pad wear

When you do get your wheel off, it will be easy to pop your head around and see inside your Brembo calipers. Taking out pads is a doddle. Just a pin punch and a hammer, to remove pins & tension plate and slide out the pads. https://ibb.co/dc2Dwe

$3.6k from WSM, will get you slightly more than the W407 cam, without need of a stall converter on a slush box. About 460rwhp or 500rwhp on a manual. Good exhaust and headers will cost you about $3k, but try to use good gear, makes all the difference when you want quality noise without drone...

Mine is now making 340kw and 750nm. Running 11's on the strip and uses fuel as well as can be expected, around 9.4L/100km on the open road. I love the pant of a cammed NA engine. It certainly has street appeal as the car rocks at idle quite noticeably.

Who has the best 98 RON Fuel

It might be different where you live, but I doubt it, but we have no refineries in QLD and all our fuel comes from Singapore, via ships. The formulations are different, 91, 95 and 98, but only blended ethanol e10 is adulterated here (which is 94RON). So, I am not sure how the fuel is any...

Who has the best 98 RON Fuel

Best way to clean injectors is out of the vehicle using ultrasound. I also doubt additives do much more than raise octane, for those particular types. I do add octane boost to mine, especially if the weather is hot or especially humid, it seems to work.
