Sounds like youve misaligned something woth the trans linkage. Car wont start unless in neutral or park. Its cranking in reverse (which it shouldnt) and you have reverse lights on in park. I would check everything around the linkage and make sure its on properly.

Replace the battery in your current one then go to a local auto locksmith. Theyll charge you roughly 150 to cut and program a new key.

The oil pump is driven straight off the front of the crank. Shouldnt need to be touched when doing a cam install afaik. I think the worst thing you did was continue to drive it after the initial issue. When something like that happens, continuing to drive it can make the problem a whole lot...
