Need some info on track/drag rims and tyres for my VE.

Track specific tyres (R-compounds) won't do you much good for 2 reasons. A) Semi slicks take time to warm up, yes a burn-out will fix that but they have much lower tread wear than road tyres so you'll just chew the treads. B) Semi slicks are designed for corners so they have a much stiffer side...

    VE GTS springs fit SV6?

The springs I was looking at getting (Tein S.Spec's) sat about a finger's width from the top of the tyre to the guard which wasn't too bad on the GTS but would have been abit higher on an SV6 given the weight difference which I preferred. Have contacted H&R and will go that route instead. Thanks...

    VE GTS springs fit SV6?

Tried searching but only found that the VE GTS's run MRC suspension. My question is, I've found aftermarket lowered springs to suit a GTS but was wondering if it would also fit a Series 2 VE SV6? I'm not bothered about the shocks/struts as I already have KYB's struts. Any help would be...

    Mace VE V6 Tune Review

Hi Steve, Disregard my ignorance (I've only ever owned Toyota's) but what do you mean by an LFX engine? It was on a Dyno Dynamics dyno. We thought the car would only approx 140 being an auto but hey, every dyno's different. I thought tuning was approx $450-500, is there something different with...

SV6 to SS brakes: Dust shields?

Hi guys, Have been trying to look up some information regarding this but all I've found is that the SS calipers/rotors are a direct fit to the SV6 Commodore. Was wondering, for those who has have completed this conversion, do the dust/brake shields need any modification to fit? Or is it a...

    Mace VE V6 Tune Review

Just a few questions about the Mace tune, What price would it cost for a drive in/out for a Mace tune for a 2013 SV6 VE? Would there be any ill-effects of running E85 post tune or would 98 be more than sufficient? The car dyno'd @ 162.5rwkw (stock) recently at a reputable dyno - does this seem...

    SV6 A6 click/clunk, from R into D and coming to a stop.

I've got the same issue: only the opposite. I notice a clunk from going D to R however it's fine other than that. I have a 2013 VE S2 SV6

    OBD2 for VEII?

Quick question (maybe a stupid one) but where is the OBD2 plug located in the VE SII's?

    The work-horse: 2013 Z-Series SV6

I test drove both but preferred the feel of the Holden overall, coming from a turbo'd 6 neither was great but was good enough. The previous car didn't cause me any grief so I stuck with the Holden (the other rep went Ford)

    The work-horse: 2013 Z-Series SV6

I was comparing it with the FG equivalent; 4L 'Six with 190kw engine (but has more torque). Sorry, I should have said power to weight ratio.

    The work-horse: 2013 Z-Series SV6

'Been reading up and it seems like 2.25 would be the pick in terms of noise. Have you heard of a Mach 1 system before? Reason I ask is I've been offered a stainless steel cat-back for relatively cheap. The car is an auto, company strongly recommends Auto and there was no other Manual one's...

    The work-horse: 2013 Z-Series SV6

Hi, (Boring story ahead) Thought I'd put up a thread about the company car to learn more about it from those more knowledgeable about the VE's. My names Trung and I'm an Accounts Manager/Sales Rep, being asian (lol) I came from a background of Japanese cars and earlier in the year I sold...
