Somehow I very much doubt that you will be recovering the initial outlay costs, let alone the ‘repairs’ and ‘improvements’ anytime soon.

But it is your money to spend (and spend, and spend).

:)
You have no idea obviously. I've been around bikes for over 30 years. I could easily sell my bike for what I paid for it. But you and your couch snuggling buddies including the Mods can like each others posts all you like. Simple fact is the only thing cheaper about owning an EV is they don't run on petrol.

The ‘more’ was a direct reference to your post. I’ve edited the post to highlight that ‘more’ I was referring to.

Obviously over your head, so will leave it at that.

Will also mention again...Infrastructure needs improving to make it viable to change over to EV, unless we just use them for a too and from work/shop scenario.....Currently from what I have seen on my travels, there are very few charging points out of town for electric cars, which prohibits the use of them for anything but the around town stuff....

No, not saying there are. But since you can't read or at least can't understand what I'm saying is. You can't just own an EV, you still need an ICE vehicle, unless of course the only reason you need a car is to drive to work and the supermarket. Do I need to spell it out again for you.

Like a motorbike?

Its the same issue here in N.Z, charging points around towns - when not vandalized , nothing in between and nothing to provide the power if there was - Its a world over problem same problem different scenario.

That‘s a valid point. But there is also to idea that EVs can be used to ‘soak up’ the excess PV generation during the day, so it actually helps the infrastructure - that energy goes in to your own car instead for passing it on to the grid. (Which is why there are those negative-price tariffs that pay people to use that excess energy that the grid can’t handle).

And that ‘around town stuff’ is by and large what most cars are used for, so no problem there at all. Perfect application for an EV as a shopping trolley second car.

Feed in Tarrifs will never attract GST as that would entail your energy retailer paying you, the home owner, the GST and in turn you would have to forward that GST component on to the ATO. The govt does not miss out as GST is charged upon the on-sale of all Feed in Energy to other consumers.
I wasn't referring to the GST, or non GST on FIT ........................ I was alluding to the 'income' of FIT.
When the Gubbermint realises that homeowners and renters are receiving $100 or $5,000 'income' from FIT, why should they not include that in your personal tax liability.
(Bugga, now I have let the cat out of the bag, and given them the idea )
