All these retailers asking me if I want to donate money to X cause. I'll donate money when 90% of it doesn't go to administration of the charity and/or it isn't used to reduce the company's tax bill.
What retailers are these? I haven't seen it happen much locally, might be more of a mainland thing?
When they ask me, it normally only rounding up to the next dollar. Sometimes if they ask I'll say yeah add $2. $2 is nothing much out of my pocket and if they use it to pay wages then so be it.
I don't get asked often though, as I rarely go to shops who mention it, I think Coles Express might? and Chemist Warehouse. I rarely buy coffees and I don't really buy much else unless its a vehicle related expense and I normally click and collect on those. I never buy electronics and can't really think of any other retailers, us blokes would go to?
As it is, it would be once a month that I get asked, so hardly a problem around here it would seem.
