Hi Guys, I hate taking my redline to holden dealers for work....but now i have to because of the recall thing. Im in Adelaide, can anyone recommend a dealer that they know does good work and is careful, or has had their car done without any issues ? Im seriously thinking of not getting it...

ok if anyone out there gives a rats ass, i can confirm that a clock spring indeed can only have 1 faulty wire and the rest work fine, my radio steering wheel buttons would work intermittently horn working fine no air bag light... changed the clock spring and now steering wheel buttons work...

hey guys i got the ssv redline auto and i can confirm the noise as well........some mistake it for pinging, some say it sounds like an inlet manifold leak.......exhaust echo............ what ever it is, on mine, it doesnt interfere with the performance of the car and doesnt throw up any fault...

so the rest of the exhaust is pretty solid and once again its all straight through with a straight through middle muffler and hotdogs the welds look solid and the middle section is very well balanced with the flanges not only in perfect alignment but as you can see from the photo it all sits...

hey steve, i checked out DEA, basically i believe the 3" x force (a system which i bought for my VE) would be not better quality in the way of manufacturer than the ultrex system........i was completely happy with my x force system but im keen to try out new products as well..........

just an update on the ultrex system postage was super quick from perth to adelaide ordered on the 30.10.14 and arrived on 4.11.14 here are the rear mufflers......i will update post with pics of rest of the system soon......... so far im happy with quality and welds........mufflers are...

Well i was tossing up between an xforce mild steel 3" cat back for $850 and their stainless cat back for $1300 then thought stuff it.....ill go the ultrex 3" stainless cat back for $1050 i only want a better note for my car, not chasing Kw..........and on a budget...... the two systems look...

Has anybody fitted a cat back 3" xforce exhuast which only has hotdogs where the middle muffler is meant to be........especially on a VF redline ? if so, are u happy with them ? is there much drone? are they too loud? im looking at these...

but the car is drawing the current, not producing it...........so its much like putting a 9v battery into a 12 volt torch........it will just run dimm...........no boom boom !! but attaching it to the alternator lead while running........well thats a different story.........big boom boom !!

did you use the "canbus" led's for the number plate light ? there pretty cheap as well...............

in adelaide i got a white auto sedan ssv redline brand new for 52K including all delivery and on road costs......... I think this was fair......not a steal, but not totally ripped either........ i had to go to 3 dealers though.......

i did mine at 75,000km in planning that i would do again at 150,000km..........ill probably do the diff at 100,000km im sure the holdens book says 150,000km but i halved that just to be safe and i know alot of gear box guys cringe at the though of even leaving it till 75,000km.....they also...

Hi all, Ive done a ton of reading and will eventually get the ssv onto a tech 2 for error codes but......... on the VE's, when they flash this error does anyone know what the most likely source is ?........ Ive read on the VZ's 9 times out of 10 its the oil pressure sensor....... mine...

in regards to the spark plugs, copper plugs........best conduction but wear out quicker.......need to be changed more regular, ie, every service......very cheap platinum plugs...........poorer conduction but last longer..........no need to change until about every 90,000...
