My early VE V6 does the vibration at 74 KMH & only happens a couple of times a year, I just manually pull it back to 3rd gear (4 speed auto). It happened to me once & it was the starter, the brushes wore completely out & it open circuited. What milage has it done & has it done a lot of short trips? Also try starting in neutral & wiggle the gear lever a bit it may be the auto trans neutral start switch. Cheers - Leigh

I seem to blame my torque converter in the auto, it has got to be something in front of the transmission because you haven't changed the ground speed.

Is it still there if you manually pull it back a gear? In my VE V6 4 speed auto the vibration goes away when I pull it back to 3rd gear at the same road speed.

Mine has also done this a few times also in its life, I just pull up & turn the key off & it restarts correctly the next time. It may not do it again for a year or two. So, I've never worried too much.

Be aware this VE Commodore V6 lockoff valve (liquid) is not the normal MED one that has been around for years. The filter & O rings are completely different, the VE lockoff is a high flow Impco BRC model & the filter/ repair kit with O rings (part No 04RE00100005) is for an ET98 version Cheers...

Can you hear the fuel pump start up when you first turn the key on?

Vl 's do have some spare plugs eg auto to manual trans. some spares for extra's etc cruise control and turbo's, early models can have extra relays.

I have also a 2006 VE V6 & had the identical problem to yours, I bought a 340 gram can (Ebay) of 134a & a gauge & tap & ended up adding the complete can & it now works perfectly again same as new about 7°C at RH centre vent, medium fan on a hot day. Easy to do.

Do you have 12 volts to the pink wire at the coil? with the key on do you have 12 volts at the orange wire at the crank angle sensor? with the key on does the fuel pump fire up when you first turn the key on?

Try swapping the EFI relay with one of the others, the horn one will do.

Run a test light over the fuses, if they have power on one leg it must be also on the other. Its also worth trying another EFI relay as it powers the CAS if you have no spark, grab the horn relay, it is the same & it won't of done much work.
