    VE II LPG engine light.

    im having exactly the same CE codes (as a pair) come up on my 2013 VF (LPG only).. doesnt seem to affect car driving at all..cleared codes a couple times and they come back after a day or so.. if anyone got to the bottom of this since the original post please let me know!

    2007 VZ alloytec auto (dual fuel) driving car today and completely lost power. starts and idle rough, but undrivable. RAA traced it to a blown 15A fuse for injector/ign cct 2/4/6 side of engine (passenger side) replace fuse, drove off and car was good for 500m then fuse blew again...

    Solved,. One of the plenum to inlet manifold gaskets wasn't in place properly, on a gas car the gas hoses interfere a lot with them when installing it, and seems I'd rushed that part.. after refit, started a bit lumpy, found a disconnected rocker breather, reset the ecu again, let it warm up...

    It only starts on petrol with the factory dual fuel setup till temp comes up.. I don't think I can force start it on lpg, I will polish up the ignition lock "ring" and key... Thankyou!

    Well redoing the timing with crank turned 1 full turn made no difference...so I think timing was fine... It kicks and splitters, starts for a couple seconds then dies.. if throttle held at 50 percent it will rev to about 3000rpm then die. I'm wondering is it just flooding with fuel? I've reset...

    Yeah I followed instructions correctly, but I may have inadvertently rotated crank one turn between taking heads off, and putting back on, the instructions assume you don't touch the crank , or the cams after you have taken the chains off, before putting new ones back on....

    That's exactly what I'm suspecting.... Because I pulled the heads off and was rotating crank randomly, the crank is possibly one full rotation off (same as cams half a rotation off). Obviously I can't set timing up with cams half a rotation off, the chain marks won't align, so I will rotate...

    issue ended up being an burnt exhaust valve on #6 ... $30 dollars for a new valve and about $800 in gaskets and timing chain kit, waterpump, head bolts, valve stem seals etc.. while i was there took both heads off and cleaned things up .. all ok now. thanks very much for all the assistance...

    bugger, i sent off the ECU to injectronics (along with the key, PIM and BCM module) for a repair/remanufacture, but they tested and it was fine (that cost about $350 once i got it back via repco , injectronics dont deal direct) so i took off plenum and properly did the compressions warm etc...
