    My 2007 VE SSV

Here is my 2007 series 1 VE SSV, It has had quite a few mods done on it over time. Here are the specs: - LSA Longblock (old motor torched a piston) - CAPA supercharger kit - Crow cams camshaft and valve train - Full 3" stainless manta - Allfast built 4l80e (good for 1000 hp) - Allfast built...

factory ss mufflers, preferably series 2 ones

    Stock VE SS Muffler upgrade

I bet majority of those better sounding SS's just have muffler delete pipes as that is a common cheap mod (like $150 for the pair)

    Exhaust drone wagon

What a surprise, a v6 commodore sounding like **** with an exhaust

[WA] Turbo on a S1 VF SSV

Have you talked to any performance shops about what you want? They might have a better idea what is needed to be done to reach your goal.

Clutch pedal gets stuck to the floor under hard load

My car had the same issue, turns out it is a known fault in manual ve ss's which can be solved by replacing the clutch slave cylinder.

    Gear box problem

Sounds very much like your gear box has done a 4 speed conversion. So yes you either need to rebuild your current one or buy a new one.

    Afm delete

You need to get a non afm cam (like the L98 cam) or an aftermarket cam, both will require a tune (since you need to get the afm disabled in the ecu)

    Velocity Superchargers

if you are interested in a centrifugal supercharger. Procharger also makes a kit for the ve commodore which if speced right can support up to 1k hp for around 15-16k, but start at around 10k (same as vortech)
  11. Woodsy104

    Velocity Superchargers

is your car auto or manual? Centrifugal superchargers are way more forgiving to your drive train as it doesn't create all of it's torque as soon as your put the skinny pedal to the floor. Centrifugal superchargers also have a higher efficiency and don't sap as much power to turn them vs pd...

    Velocity Superchargers

Very simple is that you get what you pay for. Some of their compressor impeller designs remind me of very ancient centrifugal supercharger designs and don't seem to make that much boost (minus the fact that they don't come with intercoolers). I have the vortech v3 ti trim kit on my ve commodore...

    VE VF exhaust

If i remember, the older walkinshaw exhausts were made by difillipo, while the current ones are made by xforce

    VE VF exhaust

If you want a deeper v8 note, I would suggest saving up for a 3" catback. my 3" exhaust has a really deep v8 note

    I recommend WA Performance

    Tuning in WA

I would really highly suggest avoiding them. Majority of the positive reviews are from people who don't know better and believe his lies. Like I didn't know something was up until I lost to a bone stock manual vx clubsport. I had to go back 3 times to try and get the throttle issue sorted (which...

    Tuning in WA

I had a cam and lifter packaged installed by formula tech performance. It was horrible, the "tune" they did made less power then factory and had really bad detionation even with 98 octane. They also cleaned my throttle body without asking me and didn't reset the memory causing it to idle at...

    Twin Plate clutch suggestions

Was unhappy. Since this isn't my daily anymore (and I am going for more hp) I am in the progress of swapping over to a 4l80e. Yes, it was at the wheels. If this is still your daily, I would suggest a sprung ceramic or an organic.

    Twin Plate clutch suggestions

twin plate ceramic rigid as I needed the torque handling. Would not suggest it for a street car ever.

VF,SSV . Wot value is it having Walkingshaw 407 put on my car and is it worth the money.

The issue is that the perth walkinshaw dealer (formula tech performance) are utter incompetent in every way

Do yourself and your neighbours a favor and don't get an aftermarket exhaust for a v6.

Ve ss reving high then drops back down in revs please help

My car had a similar problem, but mine was caused by a faulty coolant temp sensor that randomly ready -40c. Also, did they drill the throttle body for the cam?

    Series 1 flex fuel conversion

Hello, I was wondering what is required to convert a 2007 series 1 (my6) ve ssv to flex fuel? I have heard from a few friends that the ecu in my car isn't setup for flex fuel (is that true)? Thanks!

    Problem

Reminds me of my car. It had work done on it by FTP (cam + lifters + tune). it claimed to make 430 hp (with "dyno" sheet included) but did poorly at the strip. Took it to another shop (WA Performance) and they did a dyno test and it made 350hp and had crazy detonation. He said it was one of the...
