Just put a new motor in my vs after the last one had rod knock, new motor was fine before hand all I did was gaskets and quick look at lifters, was running ok when put in and now that I've put majority of it back together this noise has started, cheers for the help...

Hi guys, probably a stupid question but I have finally found a live axle LSD for my vs ute however it doesn't have axles and I was wondering if open diff axles would fit into the lsd? Cheers

Put different heads on it rather than replacing old valves, will have a geez tomorrow

Had a leaky exhaust valve so was misfiring and carrying on, dual mass flywheel was also buggered and vibrating alot so that's why got clutch done aswell

No worries, heads were done by a mechanic mate, will ask him if he checked them, would some of that lifter free fluid do anything or am I better off leaving it?

Update- Just did an oil change with some different oil and is still doing it, what else could it be? Cheers

Ok cheers guys will do an oil change on the weekend, hoping it's lifters rather than something more major especially after just doing the heads

Hi guys, I recently just put a new clutch kit and some reconditioned heads onto my 96 vs ute, It was running perfect but all of a sudden it's started making a tick/knocking sound when idling. Any help would be appreciated, see video for sound.
