Hey mate, I've recently completed a auto to manual conversion in my 2008 clubsport. I have a tech2 for the programming. I see you've mentioned auto needs to be deleted first and steps must be followed exactly... so was wondering if you could post up or message me the steps to be followed? Cheers!

Excellent thanks mate, appreciate it.. I figured all ZF diffs would be the same across the V6, V8 range including LSD and non-LSD I figure if they aren't there the stub axle will just float in and out and potentially damage the seal

Yes will try this and also call couple of diff rebuilders.. I'm sure they would know.. trying to avoid going to Holden and having my wallet raped for a $2 part lol Just thought I'd suss it out here as its public holiday here in Victoria today.

I'll be doing that as a last resort.. Holden will charge like a wounded bull.. if I can find out the size I can source them elsewhere and pay a fraction of Holden's price. I will be calling a couple of diff rebuilders first, I'm sure they will know and probably have them on the shelf for when...

Correct, they are a rounded clip.. I just can't find the part number or size so I can replace them

Yes it is a VE.. You dont need to get inside the diff mate.. Pictured is a new inner CV joint showing the clip

Yes it's the end of the CV shaft that goes inside the diff

Exactly how the manual said to do it.. if your ve had no clips then id be concerned.. Manual says to use 2 pry bars or large screwdrivers on each side of CV between CV and diff housing and lever it out.

I've removed both axles and here is a locking ring on the end of both axles, same as pictured. They are even mentioned in the manual and says they are a single use item and should be replaced before reinstalling axles

Hey, does anyone know the size or part number for the C-clip/retaining clip for the end of the axle that goes into the diff? Can't for the life of me find any info on them. Cheers!

Thanks, do you still have the REX headers? Any drone with the DPE? I have shocking drone at around 2000 RPM so looking at putting the REX headers with same system as you have.
