    You and Grey_Hawke are awesome, thank you! You picked it, the pop was the hose coming off the connection. I'm so pleased to be not replacing the whole line! The non return valve had seized, a bit of mucking round and everything goes fine now. Thanks!

    So a VX rear washer nozzle can't be pulled off from the outside (unless mine is aftermarket, but I don't think it is). In this pic you can see it has things that need squeezing together. It's a fiddle. You can shine a light into the tailgate and push one side with a screwdriver. When that pops...
