Thanks guys. So I found that one of the vacuum lines (hardened plastic) was broken inside the sleeve so replaced that, took all the connections off, checked all of them cleaned them with contact cleaner, replaced the fuel cap. Reset it and so far the alert hasn't come back on but time will tell...
