running the recommended 5W30 was and still is the biggest contributor to early chain failure. It's well documented and it also came from my mate who worked at GMH in R&D for years.

Don't run 5W30 that's why it rattles. Start with 10W40 of some descent quality and then see what it sounds like.

I just changed mine and ran the recommended Dexcool in it. Then there's no confusion as to whats in it.

Yes with a tiny 500 CCA battery you're always going to have problems in a modern car. They should have had a much bigger battery in them as it is in the boot, A battery only slightly discharged can give you a bad start and it will throw all sorts of random codes. Mine is only 6 months old but...

Hey all, I have a Sony head unit with an Aerpro climate module and steering wheel controls which works well BUT how now do I operate the factory clock on the dash? It used to run off the original stereo but now doesn't have that option. It's a 2010 SV6.

Mine was doing that but didn't log a DTC. Changed brake fluid and problem solved.
