Vx S pac
Hey Guys,
I’ve just bought a 2000 vx S pac that has had a full ss interior fitted to it. The airbag light is on the dash and it makes the beep beep beep sound when I start it. After reading a few posts on here I had a look under my drivers seat and can see a plug that isn’t plugged into anything (im guessing that’s the airbag plug) it also looks like there is nothing for it to plug into, as the previous owner has all of the airbag related cables neatly cable tied to the bottom of the seat in a little bundle. Just wondering if there is something it’s meant to plug into that I’m missing, or if there’s nothing, how do I clear the code to pass rego check
Cheers

most likely the clockspring is worn
or the cluster has been changed
have it scanned and see what is wrong

I have replaced the clock spring last week, someone told me even if the clock spring was the problem and I’ve fixed it, I still will need to get the light cleared, even if the problem is solved. Is this true? Also can any mechanic scan the code, or will it need to be taken to an auto electrician?

yes light will remain on until cleared
any competent mechanic can clear code
if that was the reason the light was on
