Ambrose did always believe in his own brilliance and all others should yield to him.
The rules are fairly simple, when passing/overtaking, the car passing must do so safely, if been passed, once the car (trying to overtake) is up to to the B pillar you must leave them racing room. I think Ambrose never understood these rules as is clearly evident in the video above. It was the same when Murph and Ambrose crashed going up the mountain. Murph missed a gear shift giving Ambrose the opportunity to try and pass him, he was attempting to overtake Murph around the outside but never actually got past Murph (murph was equal to about the B pillar on the Ambrose car) when Ambrose decided to just squeeze Murph and take the racing line into the next corner. Seeing as the overtaking move was never completed the car doing the overtaking is clearly at fault (as he didn't leave any racing room).
To me, it seemed that Murph always did cop it hard when it came to the judiciary been a Kiwi. Anybody remember the 5 minute stop/go penalty Murph received for the refuelling incident. Unprecedented and conveniently took him out of the running for the win.
