Agreed, was a very effective pig hunting rifle until the government outlawed semi autos
I’m sure they were specialist overpaid military contractors who’s job it was to bugger them up so you could learn and practice your craft... As a RAAF rookie, I could never work out why, when we were issued our rifles from the armoury (different one from last time), they would be dirty, and the sights misaligned, and we would have to strip, clean them, and spend half a mag on sighting shots, finish up, strip, clean and return them, only to be issued another dirty rifle next time.
Yeah, good practice, but who were the elves who used them during the night ?.
