V6 and V8 regulators look slightly different and have different part numbers.

I am tempted to see if they can be made to work for each other though.

Immortality sent me a picture of 0 280 160 249 that looks like fuel in one end and out the other (unless that is a fat vac hose on the number end).
V8 reg 0 280 160 237 has small vac port on non number end and a larger fitting before a screw in barb for fuel out on number end. Fuel in from the side and bracket looks the same

Actually. Looking at the above pic vs the picture immortality sent me, I reckon it would work with just a different vac hose fitted (which will be easy on an aftermarket manifold).

Did you have one you do not need any longer Delcowizzid?

Update, Just picked up a V6 reg from immortality that he sent. Compared it to a V8 one and they seem identical except for fuel oulet. And the V6 looks to be a shorter/tidier version. When I get around to fitting I will advise back again

Ok, haven't started it yet (no brakes), but the V6 reg is fitted. It seems the shorter fuel outlet means you need to carefully think about the position of the hose clamp orientation to be able to do it up.
Pic of the two to compare:
