VE SV6 Sedan 2007
Hi everyone, my daughter has just bought her first car (2007 VE SV6 Sedan) and unfortunately there is no audio on left side at all. Would this mean the left channel is "blown"?
She's not really in a position to fork out for a new unit at the moment, and will put up with it if she has to, but I just thought I'd ask here to see if it was a common problem with a possible solution?
Cheers
Jason

It could be just a fuse, but it could also mean you need new speakers... Not going to affect the driveability of the car though...

Fuse???? A fuse blown means no noise at all...

Could be wiring, that channel or speakers...

The balance isn't set all the way over to the right, is it?

thanks guys, balance has been checked, I thought it would be unlikely to be speakers as the left side doesn’t work at all , same with wires, thought it would be to much of a coincidence for just the left speakers or wires to stop working?

Open the door, remove the door skin and get a look at the speakers.
Failing that, open the door and pull the harness boot from the body. That gives you access to the loom plug. Check for continuity between there and the door.

Check continuity between speaker and door plug both sides of the harness.

Pull the footwell trans tunnel panel. That gives access to the harness plug for the head unit. Check continuity between there and the speaker.

Check continuity between door harness plug and head unit plug.

Test + and -.

You’ll need a multimeter to do that.
