Vk Audio Qs

Hello i have a VK with no radio. My dad has given me his old VL radio which has the radio plug on it. The problem is the radio has the plug and the car has alot of loose wires(no plg). what i need is the Vl radio wire color meanings and the VK wire meanings. In short how do you connect a vl radio to a Vk with no plug thanks

Hi Dan,
I would suggest grabbing the colour chart from the downloads section and matching up the VL loom with the VK loose wires. The wiring on a VK and VL I believe are identical so you shouldn't have too many hassles assuming your dads' stereo is the original unit.

That is exactly what i was looking for. thanks heaps for that, now i dont have to pay some ******** $80 2 do it. it is the original head unit

yellow - accessories +
pink - antenna
brown - earth -
grey - lights
light blue - speaker negative -
light green - rhf speaker +
tan - lhf speaker +
brown - lhr speaker +
dark blue - rhr speaker +

VL

orange - power +
yellow - accessories +
pink - antenna
black/white- earth -
grey - lights
light blue - speaker negative -
light green - rhf speaker +
tan - lhf speaker +
brown - lhr speaker +
dark blue - rhr speaker +

I wrote this down a long time ago.........can't remember if the power and accessories are around the right way but all else should be good. Use a test light to check first. Sorry I will not be responsable for a blown stereo.
