Hi,

Do you get the cruise on light at the dash when you turn it on?
Have you installed and wired the brake switch at the pedal?
I've attached the circuit from the factory manual.

If your car is a STOCK executive there is a good chance that it has a low series body computer that does not have provision for cruise control.
If you open the cover under the steering wheel printed on the white sticker with the part number on the body computer is the word LOW or MID etc.

If it reads LOW thats your problem

VP commodores had cruise control without a body control module so with some wiring changes I reckon it is still possible to get the thing working using the old circuit although I'm not sure if the module in the engine bay is the same as the vp.
