ve commodore cold start up noise/rattle

$1000 to $1500 is the going price "Do Not Pay Anymore Than This" This includes parts and labour. There is a lot to remove before you or they get access to the timing chain,. 4 to 6 hours in labour (that's apart and back together) should be no more than this.

    Vt calais 5.0 wont start

1st you need to check the fuel pressure, it may be priming but not reaching full pressure. Check the fuel pressure regulator? If they check out ok, change the fuel filter.

I agree with Sean880, 1) If the timing chain was the faulty part then you would have most certainly received a fault code. If the timing chain was stretched and there is worn timing chain tensioners. At cold start you hear the timing chain slapping against the timing chain tensioners until oil...

VE & WM FRONT WHEEL HUBS WITH SENSORS

    UNI-JOINT REPLACEMENT VE/WM

Hello, and thank you in advance for your replies. I'm just wondering if anyone has found a solution to replacing the Uni-Joint in the VE/WM propeller shaft instead of having to buy a whole new propeller shaft?

High output alternator - is it possible?

Well? my old mate it's now 2019 and I'm reading your post for the first time and it worries me that you are trying to modify the original system without consulting with a professional (Auto Electrician) that would have been my first port of call before I did anything, or I would have recommended...

WH Statesman 3.8Ltr 6 cyl with a Dangerous issue

Hahaha, Understand mate, but check my last message as I updated it regarding the O2 Sensors. The last thing would be someone with a Tech2 or Global scan tool to see what the issue is (fault codes registered) Good luck hope this helps.

WH Statesman 3.8Ltr 6 cyl with a Dangerous issue

What about the Oxygen Sensor's? Have you removed them and leaned them? Look at your tail pipe, If the tail pipe is black and sooty it's running to rich. If the tail pipe is a white/grey colour it's running to lean. The O2 sensor is mounted in the exhaust manifold to monitor how much unburned...

    Engine oil life

Thanks @lout, I have done that process (and will try it again because that's the method that keeps popping up) You can enter engineering mode and go directly Engine Oil Life by holding "BOTH" the Trip button and the Enter/Ok button (scroll wheel) and turning the ignition to the On position. I...

    VE Commodore Sportswagon coolant disappearing

Just a thought, but the transmission fluid could be mixing with the coolant? Just a thought? Another is your heater core? Check it for leaks? But the pressure test revealed no leak so? But I'm not sure if the heater needs to be on and the thermostat open when that test is done?
