Radio Code After Holdens Been Shutdown?

I put the Calais type stereo in my VZ.The bloke that sold it to me gave me the wrong code , and I eventually got my money back. With nothing to lose I started at 1111 and about four weeks later in the 4000,s bingo! Cracked it !. Nice to know someone else done the same thing, cheers.

    HB Torana, L76, nice sleeper.

My mother would take me to school in a HB coupe Brabham edition. I can still remember my old man swearing when working on it.

    VT 5 l BLOCK

There's actually many differences in V8 blocks over the years particularly the ones intended for racing. As stated above it's a roller engine and has VT specific stampings on the block so yes it's unique to the VT. Any Holden V8 block with the chev transmission pattern will bolt up in there if...

    Reviewing the New VC Commodore

A couple of things I'm not sure about, what year/ model did the 12 Port head blue motor come out? I thought it first appeared in the VH. And the VC still had the old six port job. I recall as a young fella a bloke opening the Bonnet of his Commodore, when I looked in the engine was gold...

    intercooler for l67

Just a quick note, I had some issues with water pump failures, until a mate who was into boats suggested to use a "Bilge" pump as they are made pretty much bullet proof. He was right, no more problems.

    intercooler for l67

No mate, I built a W2A system years ago for my "experimental" VL turbo. Worked great until the bottom end wore out. My best advice would be to keep it simple, don't use the aircon there's to many losses there. W2A is best but A2A is "fit and forget". Use a tried and true system for best...

    intercooler for l67

W2A intercoolers are much more efficient than A2A intercoolers. You can run a higher boost with them (generally)and have more compact water to air radiators which can be mounted in more convenient places. The downside is you'll have to fit another electrical system and another closed loop...

    VY 2003 diff

Probably a 3.08 open wheeler. LSD diffs are great if you frequent unsealed roads, or need the extra grip to lessen wheel spin with a powerful motor. The problem with them is they can cause you to loose control of the vehicle particularly if you accelerate too hard in a corner. This could be a...

While on the topic on the exhaust on the V6 . I notice that counter Weight thing welded to the exhaust at the rear, is that there to reduce drone ? Does it actually work? and does anyone know what happens if you remove it ?. Just curious.
