Yeah 3 inch either Rage or X-force. The Coby is good at the low rev range and lower mid but from mid rev range through to high revs it is a choke point. Jonathan thinks there is another 10kw to be had from the exhaust.
Yeah in the mid rev range is like a sweet spot now. Really puts you into the back of your seat. Next up for me is to replace my Coby exhaust with a better flowing 3 inch but thats months away now as i have spent all my play money :D I recommend that you go to Jonathan in Christchurch at Harman bros. Racing. The guy is a tuning guru and has taught a lot of the other tuners how to do it. When i was there on friday he had a racing Porche and a V8 BMW that other performance tuners has sent to him to get the most out of the tune for the owners. He's not greedy either, for instance he has offered to touch up tune my car when i get the new exhaust for free and i know he's done other free stuff for others as well.
Nah the standard cost of MAFless tune is around $1500. But Jonathan has specials now and then. I got my tune done just before christmas by him for $1150.
Yeah i know Ruben. Seems like a good joker. Mate of mine used to own race cars and Ruben used to rebuild his engines for him. He tells a few horror stories which is why i went up to Jonathan at Harman Bros. Racing.
Ahhh, i'm in Timaru. Yeah the SS has a nice rumble to it. Not to loud, just low and deep. It pulled 311kw at the wheels after the tune. So it picked up around 15 to 20 HP to take it close to 400hp over all which i am happy with. I recommend going to CHCH and getting Jonathan at Harman Bros. Racing to tune yours. He is excellent! The thing is when you tune it it's not just a paper figure you get, the car is a lot more drivable afterwards and the trans gets a retune as well.
Yo Jamie, what part of NZ are you in? I have the Tri into Y Coby system. No extensions needed for the O2's but that said i brought the car with the Coby system fitted. Not 100% sure but i think they are short headers.
