I have an Arduino to do the PWM stuff. Output that PWM from the Arduino into an OP-AMP with a 10V feed to get the 10V PWM signal, then feed that into the Pin on the exhaust value and bingo. I've done it before so if you need any info, just let me know.

Unfortunately the values require a pulse width modulated (PWM) signal to command the value open or closed. Specifically a 10 Volt PWM @ 200Hz with 20% duty for closed and 80% for Open. A strange setup but that's what GM did.

I use one of the vacuum pumps, but for my V8 I only use it for the Diff oil. But in my V6 the pump is great. Don't need to jack the car up at all. In the V6, the oil filter is at the top on the passanger side so it makes it really easy.

My VIN is FL14xxxx and falls outside the range. Holden is in firm believe that my car has been fitted with the re-engineered part and there for the fault is not related to the recall issue. Thanks. I have a photo of the fault on the Dash, and an entry in my Log book with the kms (Which also match my photo) and the GPS location on the photo which also matches my Log book entry. So are you saying they should be able to check the Steering Rack and see if it has the revised part?
