Good Luck. After two years of debates with Holden because my VIN is not on the list and video evidence of the problem, still nothing. I've just given up, which is probably what Holden/GM wanted. So they win. My next car wont be a Holden or GM anyway. Going to get myself a 6.4L Hemi Jeep. Service...
I have an Arduino to do the PWM stuff. Output that PWM from the Arduino into an OP-AMP with a 10V feed to get the 10V PWM signal, then feed that into the Pin on the exhaust value and bingo. I've done it before so if you need any info, just let me know.
Unfortunately the values require a pulse width modulated (PWM) signal to command the value open or closed. Specifically a 10 Volt PWM @ 200Hz with 20% duty for closed and 80% for Open. A strange setup but that's what GM did.
Hi,
I do have a few PCBs left. If you want to message me your address, I'll send on in the post this week. I'll also send a copy of the schematics, the microcontroller code and the andoid app I developed.
Kind Regards,
John
I'm not sure what you are refering to. That plug is a direct connect fit to the exhaust valve module and there is nothing else required to secure it.
EDIT: I saw the pictures and I have no idea where to get the plastic surround. I didn't use them on my retrofit and haven't had a problem in...
I purchased them from Aliexpress here https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32850617234.html. They have been on the car now for 18 months. No problems. If you're interested, I listed all the parts I used in a previous post in this thread...
I use one of the vacuum pumps, but for my V8 I only use it for the Diff oil. But in my V6 the pump is great. Don't need to jack the car up at all. In the V6, the oil filter is at the top on the passanger side so it makes it really easy.
My VIN is FL14xxxx and falls outside the range. Holden is in firm believe that my car has been fitted with the re-engineered part and there for the fault is not related to the recall issue. And for them to say I need to leave the car with them until they can reproduce the problem is absurd given...
"{NAME WITHHELD}" at Heartland Holden in Penrith NSW told me that unless the fault occurs while "They" (being Holden) have the car, they will not be able to identify the source of the fault. Seeing as it have been 2 years between faults, I am not leaving my car with Holden until the fault...
Thanks. I have a photo of the fault on the Dash, and an entry in my Log book with the kms (Which also match my photo) and the GPS location on the photo which also matches my Log book entry.
So are you saying they should be able to check the Steering Rack and see if it has the revised part?
I hate to say this guy and gals, but Holden are useless. Holden are swearing black and blue that my Caprice has the latest components and will not repair as part of the recall. Yet my car still had the problem. They have said I will need to pay for all investigation and repair costs. Holden can...
Does anyone know if the VF Series 1 (MY15) has the Flexfuel sensor install but disabled, or if the wiring loom is still there to add one.
My engine tuner can easily enable the sensor (Which is currently disabled), but I need to know if the sensor can be added easily, and can someone also point...
I just had my power steering go on my MY15 WN Caprice. A 2 tonne front heavy V8 with wide 19" wheels (Stock for caprice) is almost impossible to maneuver with no assistance. I have driven non power steering cars before, but that was dangerous. I was lifting my arse out of the seat trying to...
