Installed LED lights, now throwing codes

Could possibly that according to the members ride that he/she has a WN II which has HID headlights from the factory.... a far better setup then the halogens in the VF. Or that one hasn't experienced a car with better lights and visibility. I daily an R36 B6 Passat and often times find it so much...

Installed LED lights, now throwing codes

I'm running HIDs on the low beams and a nighteye cob for the Highbeams and are quite happy with the results. The HIDs go really well in the projector housings. Nice clean cutoffs. I just wish they still make the 4300k version. Really glad i didn't go through the Narva route after seeing sub...

VF and CTS-V 4 pot Amazon caliper mount hole size

A work around is to get 12mm bolts and mount them with a shaft bushing to locate them properly. I haven't measured the thickness of the knuckle but say its 20mm thick, would get a shaft bushing of 12mm ID 14MM OD and 20mm height, something like this

SSV Series II vs Redline Series I

You know what, this makes so much sense, the leather seems to look better new, but kinda meh when actually used. I already swapped out the steering wheel for the flat bottom ssv one for the paddle shifters and along with it i had the dash trim, might go ahead and doo the door cards as well and...

SSV Series II vs Redline Series I

I must say the MY17 SS is damn good value for a base SS. HUD is a awesome addition. As it was an auto I added the paddle shifters and i feel its quite complete. Coming from an Manual cammed SS, i must say the better diff almost makes up for it. Brakes and lowering it would be nice, but...

    Rear wheel bearing shot

Mate of mine just had it done at profection. costs sounds reasonable. Better to buy quality parts as its quite labor intensive. no point skimping on parts and having to replace them later down the line.

    Brake upgrade for SS

I have T3s with XP pads all round. Upgraded to stainless steel braided lines, reconditioned the sliding pins, and the brake feel is great. Makes me reconsidering a brembo upgrade. DB 1766 and DB 2267 are the same dimension for height and length, i.e. they are interchangeable for calipers. 2267...

    VF2 brembo brake hose

Interested to hear that, would the rears ones be different? Curious as many aftermarket hose kits differentiate between brembo and non brembo hoses.

    VF2 brembo brake hose

As far as Im aware, the hose lengths are different for the between the stock sliding calipers and brembos. not sure about the banjo fitting at caliper end but i wouldn;t use it even if it fits given the different hose lengths.

    Post cat O2 sensor (S2 LS3)

This makes perfect sense as to why I have a permanent DTC code, i had to wait for a week before i could tune it and now it always there. Not annoying as CEL doesn;t turn on, but definitely wish that i didn't drive around for a week. This then poses the question, if the Post Cat o2 sensors are...

    Vf manual gearbox oil change

Probably a good practice to do, But I have never done replaced the washers and haven't ran into any trouble so far. Cleaning the surface and torque to spec has always done me right

    Velocity Superchargers

I think this is the main reason why I wanted to go centrifugal rather than a PD. The instant torque is nice for frying tires, but I'm aiming to keep it as a nice daily. A higher efficiency is also a big plus. Don't mind that the power comes in at a much higher rpm, as it gives me the option to...

    Velocity Superchargers

It's 3.5k for the charger , bracket and belt. Yes it's not intercooled or includes injectors. But apples to apples. Bracket and charger from a v3 vortech is around 6.5k from capa. So it's almost half price which makes me doubt. I pose the question what oiling system do they use, apparently...

    Velocity Superchargers

Yeah it's a different power curve, doesn't have the low end torque. But they go wild in the higher rpm. Seems like a really budget correct kit, just wondering what corners have been cut
