  • You need kit PBK-001, I think, for about $330.
This has all the pulleys and the belts as well as the HB. (PB1480-SS25)

    powerbond underdrive ls1 | eBay

Some V8 drivers say they don't notice much difference.
Some say they notice that it revs up faster, and a bit more torque, especially down low.
    Hi mate,

I have the LS1 Adventra and I am thinking about changing the belts. What are the advantages/disadvantages to the under driven belt? and what does it do? and which part do I need and how much does it cost

'It does seem to resemble the LS1 system, (HB 12553118, Powerbond HB1480-N) which Powerbond make a 25% underdrive for (PB1480-SS)"
Peak power went from 110.7 kW to 120.3 kW.
    I don't know if it was a 4WD dyno.

Those numbers seem low to me, considering it's a 190 kW engine.
I know that rwkw and awkw are different to engine kw, but still...

I was also hoping for a bigger increase than 9%, but maybe the ECU had already adjusted to my spacer & CAI.
Peak torque went up from about 278Nm to 300Nm.

All that having been said, it now goes like the clappers. It accelerates much better, particularly at higher speeds, sounds much better (deeper), and achieves higher speeds much more easily than before.
So in terms of the driver experience, I have no complaints. I'm just a little puzzled.
    Hey mate,

Did you end up going to oz track. If so he probably adjusted ur trans pressures up a fraction. If it continues to be a problem just let him know and he will sort it out.
