Ok I'm back with an update, new pump installed and its still bleeding pressure off, I'm suspecting injector/s, I can test that myself next as it's the cheapest of the 2 things I'm mentioning.
I also have read there is a hose connecting the pump to the swirl pot inside the tank which can...
Not sure how it is with a V6 but from what I've read with the LS1 you have to write the PCM file to a laptop with a tuning software like EFI live then remove vats save it and write it back to the PCM.
Well I'm back, I have spoken to the technician and they didn't watch for drain back when doing the pressure test whilst looking for the hard starting problem, makes me wonder a bit hey....anyway so I picked up a el cheapo one from supercheap and checked it myself after pressurizing the system...
Hi, question on that would be it's passed a pressure test, if it was faulty would it still pass?
Just have to add sometimes it will start first go hot or cold.
I have a after market trans cooler set up on my VX SS that I did myself, similar line fittings as the V6 as they use the same trans (4L60e) mine is set up like this ...
From trans >radiator inlet (bottom fitting of radiator) > radiator outlet (top fitting) then the rubber line is cut in the...
I have a feeling even if you gave the car away and bought a VX here on arrival, you still would be better off in the hip pocket, than if you shipped your one with you.
Fairly sure VT2-VY2 is all the same 74mm butterfly thathas the crosssticth pattern on the butterfly they all have a small 1/8" hole standard, they all look like this, if yours does not????
Oh when you say Bypassed is it catchcan>plumbed somewhere else on the T/B/inlet, vented to the atmos, or plumbed with a normal hose bridge/ new piece to the same port on the intake manifold, or worse lastly sealed crankcase vents?
If the answer is 1 or 2 it won`t. if its 3 it could be blocked...
Is the hole in butterfly drilled out to a larger diameter than stock? stock is 3.5 mm check by placing a drill bit by hand into the hole if a 3.5mm fits snug......etc...
Is it Stock, tuned, cam?
On the bottom of the Cable operated TB`s( VT2-VY2 LS) there is a small Allen key screw located vertically on the bottom of the tension spring for the cable. , this opens or closes the butterfly depending on which way you turn it, its a idle speed adjuster.
