  • i personaly will stick with the v6 for my power plans because everyone has a high power v8
as the white one is mainly just for a weekend cruiser anyway so mainly looks and comfort :)
i plan on turning the maroon one into a track car for hill climbs and drift days.
as in my job iv driven many 5ltr v8s vn vp and vs and i dont see enough gain for the dollars to drop one in. the gen 3 makes a lot mre power but then i gotta get it engineered with qld transport

as for the job i work a s a wheel aligner and the customers sign off on me driving there cars before i drive them :) every job has its good days and bad days lol, amg,s bmw and porsches one day the next i get run down camrys and excels lol

the hill climb is called the hill noosa http://www.noosacarclub.com.au/infornative-details.htm?inform_id=4

sounds like a good peice of road . got some that i love up hear in the hills behind noosa.
you'v done well to get a unmolested grampa spec one.
    hey vp2013
the vp's are a grate car, i probs do sell it a little short as iv owened the car for 4 1/2 years now. and i only realy drive it once or twice a month due to the local police up in noosa they dont like my ride hight lol.
yeah suspension is probably one of the hardest things to get right. because you gottta get the hight right for looks but you go to low then you will get a rough ride and can loose handling to.
i luckly like my cars riding stif as a track car :)
    part 2
but i deffs would like a bit more power at some stage i would like 3rd gear skids on the spot. atm it will just do second.
one day i wan t to do a full rebuild on the motor probs do cames port polish while im at it
lucky you we have a hill climb in noosa and they only run it twice a year?
now that does sound tempting to come check out the mount cotten hill climb unfortunatly i do work 6 day weeks and it is imposible to get time off work
but it does sound like a very good idea havent done a longer drive in my white vp for a few years.

i bet you cant wait to get yours registed so you can take her for a good drive.
hey vp2013. yeah pretty quiet ended up coming down with the flu.
they actually go very well for how old they are. and still keep up with most of the new 6cylenders.
mine isnt that fast as it is basicly standard motor with just has a full exhaust and a manual conversion, it does have a lot of suspension work under it so it is pretty quick through the corners for a large car.
main reason why i havent done to much performance wise is because atm im busy saving for my first house.
and in the end i would need much much more power then what a high power v6 could make for me to be impressed with it, due to my job alowes me to drive a lot of high end cars such as, AMGC63 merc's, gts commodores, fg xr6 turbos, m3 bmws most of witch are only up to a few years old.
yeah mate i will be doing the spray work myself. still need a lot more practice but on the hole it doesnt look to bad. done the last spray job my self. been a first attempt they wernt prefect but
practice makes perfect i guess .
last time i got a bit much orange peel on the white vp. and one dent i didnt get right so ill re bog it and paint it.

unfortunatly my curent shed is on the house not seperate so i will have to wait to fix my mistakes.
thanks mate.yeah im up in noosa. dont worrie i aint doing many upgrades on it atm so you,ll probs catch up soon.
mind you i will hofully be fixxing the paint soon but i really need a differnt house to do sray work

    have a good one mate
