i just started using 91 in my ute and it runs so much better than on 98 !! bizzar, has a little less punch off the mark but has a noticably longer rev range and idles "almost" smoothish... on 98 it shakes quite bad at idle like compression is down in one cylender. id like to know the science...

yeah id just throw another Buick motor and box in or just the trans... those motors go forever and i actually prefer the buicks to the ecotecs as they seem to have more punch off the mark..

As for the camber issue I turned my top hats around, got about 2-3 degrees out of it, still a bit of camber there but not so aggressive and looks way better Sent from my ALCATEL ONE TOUCH 5035A using Tapatalk

The front track of the vn and vp's are 40mm narrower than the rears for some weird reason.. iv put 20mm spacers on the front hubs of my ute to bring the front wheels out parallel.. I do think the VR-VS front guards do flare out to accommodate this so you could do a complete front end conversion...

How would you end up with 225s on the rear??

its a standard ute, its a wagon/statesman chassis.. my tray can fit my 1.8m level with miles of space.

now that is high praise, my v6 ute sounds like a Goat in labour ! now that is a sound to behold ;)

whats been done to the ol 304? just asking because the 304s that come in the VTs like mine are to be fare a little under powered and with a std VN 304 might end up being even more of a slug.. unless you have cranked it up a bit.. you should pop it into a VS ute as that will be way more potent

My V6 auto ute has no trouble putting on a show

sell it and get a s3 VS V8 ute, skid it up all day every day and with the sound of a 304 screamin its guts out unlike a 6 which just sounds like goat getting its anus torn to bits !

Not since I replaced the motor! So you could say she has let me down but that would be down the k's. 385k at present.. only the trans is maybe original.. the motor I had put in is a bit of a dud, it goes OK but has an awful idle and a noisy lifter but it's getting a 304 at the end of the year so...
