Im wanting the right info before I purchase these items. Whats the best Auto Trans for this conversion, Im just a weekend cruiser , I will be fitting exhaust headers so want to make sure there is clearance through the Tunnel without any modifications required to the body work. The engine I will be converting to carbie etc Thnx

Everything should fit fine. You might need a different K frame to suit the V8 engine mounts ( I can't remember what the 2 litre subframe looks like).

Also fairly sure the 2 litre models had higher diff ratio's and probably use the smaller diffs which only have the 25 spline axles/ 2 pinion centres and shorter diff ratio's so you may want to upgrade Those too.

If you intend to convert the 304 to run a carburator than a T700R4 is probably the best option.
