253 2-barrell carb cfm?

I have done a search but cant find anything on cfm ratings for a two barrell 253. anyone got any ideas?

its not much....
based on the fact that the 4bbl Quaddie is 730cfm
and the 2bbl holley is 500cfm (ignore its little brother)
and from memory, the 2bbl Strommie on the 186 'S' engine is about
320cfm
I guess the 2bbl on the red 253 is...350-380cfm..ish

Hey shaggin, I've just pulled the 465 cfm Holley from my 253 VK Calais and fitted what would have been the original 750 cfm quadrajet onto it. The car once had the efi 202 but a few years ago the warmed over 253 went in. For some time I was running the Holley but I had nothing but trouble with it. I found a Qjet, had it reconned and it has transformed the car. Find yourself a Qjet, do the same as I did and you'll be delighted.

did you jet it down at all. I thought the 5L's only came with the Quad.

no
all blue 253s* came with 4bbl Quaddies
(EXCEPT those fitted to Bedford Trucks :rofl: )

so those engines with the XT5 upgrade all copped Quaddies
