3:45 gears in 3:08 diff

G'day everyone, hoping someone can tell me if 3:45 diff gears can fit into my original diff housing which has 3:08 ratio...?

As long as you get the right size gears to suit your housing yes.

S1 + S2V6 = BW78
S2 LS1 + L67 = BW80

If you have an M80 you need M80 gears, if you have a 78 you need gears to suit a 78.

The ratio is irrelevant, you just need the right gears to fit your housing.

It's not about the ratio it's the type of diff you have. VT will be an M80 diff (earlier was M76/78), so you'll need 3.45 gears to suit an M80.

Just updated the post with a bit more information, yours being supercharged will be an M80 was what I meant to say
