Just have a look for a 9 pin serial female port on the right hand side...like this

Not all 6al-2's has to be the programmable type with the serial pin connector on the side.

Yeah like I said before I couldn't see one but its in a prick of a spot up under the dash so ill get a mirror up in there tomorrow and see....

Can you get the software for free to play with the Msd?

Yes its free from the website but you will need the serial port adapter to usb port to load your timing map to the ignition.

6AL-2 isnt that old, youd think they have a better way of uploading than old serial bus my haltech takes forever to load maps when i do more than 9 cells at a time

edit* then you gotta find a laptop that actually has serial ports

My laptop has serial ports....lol, its that old.... Lol.

And had a squiz on google, it would seem the ones with dials like this one aren't programmable...

As it doesn't have a port on it.

Do you have the part numbers for the 6Al-2 and the dizzy you have?

The part number for the dizzy is
92060107 which means its a highly polished standard Bosch unit that I mistook for an cheap aftermarket billet dizzy.
Part no for Msd is 6421.

if so arent they all run via the ECU? you need a way to get some advance into it.

Yeah we were dissapointed when it made 369rwhp, especially since there is nearly 18k worth of receipts for motor.
